Indiana Audubon Society approached me about creating a poster to celebrate the 2022 limited edition Indiana Dunes Birding Festival cider release – a fruity concoction from local cidery Ash & Elm, named for the endangered piping plover. The piping plover’s standard code abbreviation is PIPL, which inspired the use of PIneapple and PLum in this unique cider.

A group of plovers is called a “ponderance,” hence the peculiar name of this brew.
